Team of The Week
In the interest of fairness let’s start by saying it should really be The People’s Prince this week with a score of 58 but they were this season inaugural winners of this award so we’ll share it out a bit and as the next highest scoring team only scored 1pt less it feels ok to award Team of The Week to Blackburn Ravers. 6 players scored more than ya basic bitch 2pts with Cucs 5, De Ligt 15, ESR 7, Saka 7, Vardy 8 and DCL 6 all coming up trumps for Chrishy’s title dark horses. It’s just a shame it came against ED who once again scored more than other teams in the league but still remains pointless.
Match of The Week
NLD mate. There’s an argument TSFC v Mary FC could have featured here but I’d rather talk about the game that won it for Mary rather than the noble gesture TSFC made in sacrificing their game for the greater good. The greater good being 3 wins in a row for Arsenal at WHL which is a bloody lovely thing. The victory was built off the back of a team determined and resolute in defence who were missing their entire first choice midfield whilst barely being able to string two passes together. Still shit like that doesn’t matter when you have the best CB partnership in the league and one of them steps up to score yet another header from a corner. Speaking of which……
Player of The Week
Joint centre back winners this week are Gabriel and De Ligt both of whom scored 15pts. That CB goal and clean sheet formula really is a winner and basically sets your team well on the way to victory if it’s your player. Chrish and Martboy were the recipients and both took the 3pts home with them. (Sanchez also scored 15pts but unfortunately Niall lost which doesn’t fit my narrative so he’s not getting headline space here but, yknow, well done)
Chump of The Week
CBA FC this week just for his score of 21, a team on paper that looks like it should do a lot better but this limp performance just carries on a weird trend of teams shitting the bed against Dev who already has a ridiculously high GD and a silly low GA. Awful shit to be honest and something just 4 games into the season that's already really annoying me.
Dawkins of The Week
Not too bad this week all things considered but for some reason I am really struggling with Johnson this season. The entire weekend I had no idea who he played for until I saw him being subbed against Arsenal, apparently he played out wide and started the game….who knew?
