Team of The Week
From zero to hero, GW7’s Chump of The Week is this weeks Team of The Week, congratulations Mr Warren Mallia and his merry band of Whoopi Wanderers. Boyo scored 48 this week with his trusted lieutenant Kulu scoring 8, Stan’s boy with 9, Rashford of all people with 6, Sugarwarara got 5 and Senesi scored 9 the massive prick. AC Barella were on the back end of this beating which wasn’t necessarily a mauling but more of a heavy-ish beating. Any which way congrats Warren and a great way to respond to a limp defeat last week.
Match of The Week
Not much on offer here so probably Ed v Chris as this was tight for a long time, in fact Ed had a two point lead going into the last game but I don’t think he was banking on an 8pt haul from Murrilo to deny him his second victory of the season. It wasn’t a massive scoring game with just under half of Chris’ score coming from 2 players but it had the jeopardy we all desire from our opponents games in FFY.
Player of The Week
After a PoTW haul in GW1 GW8 sees the return of Salah to these trusty shores. He scored 12 in what was in general a low scoring week and I think that may be the lowest score to feature in this section of the review this season. Not much else to say other than it’s still batshit crazy 7th pick managed to pick up Salah in the draft. Wild times we live in.
Chump of The Week
William Saliba step forward and collect your award. -3 for the normally ever dependable second coming of defensive Jesus which is a real bloat on any fantasy scorecard. There’s been much talk (mostly by others) regarding the whole yellow/red fiasco but for the bottom line is much the same as with Trossard the other week….if your team are getting a large proportion of 50/50 calls going against them then do not give the ref the option. So so stupid especially when he’s probably getting back to make the tackle anyhow. So yeah, chump.
Dawkins of The Week
Yknow it’s early in the season as we’re not seeing lads being played for their 3 appearances. I’m enjoying the good life at the moment as I know sooner or later you’re going to be wheeling out those players who I have to work out whether they’re Luton defenders or North African Plumbers.
